Dr. Norm Wagner, O.C., Ph.D., LL.D. Chairman

Dr. Wagner is the former Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of Alberta Natural Gas Co. Ltd. and President Emeritus of the University of Calgary.

Dr. Wagner, an internationally recognized corporate entrepreneur and academic has been instrumental in re-framing the Government of Alberta's and The City of Calgary's approach to public consultation and engagement. He served as one of the original members of the Prime Minister's National Advisory Board on Science and Technology and was the founding Chair of the Canadian Centre for Learning Systems, a Federal Centre of Excellence dedicated to exploring all aspects of e-learning. His academic work and leadership has fostered major change in organizations challenged by the demands of economic and political transformation, technology innovation, citizen participation expectations, and increased accountability for governments, public bodies, and industry. He has spoken around the world, and has worked with senior decision makers. He writes widely on innovation and transformation.
